Power to the People!!!

The past few weeks have shown what a grassroots, horizontal, spontaneous uprising of totally independent citizens groups can do. These patriotic Americans have done us all the good service of demanding of our Democrat congresspeople about important things that impact all of us, like Obama's refusal to show his birth certificate, or the incontrovertible fact that ObamaCare has a provision that creates a death panel that will probably elect to kill your grandparent/great aunt/developmentally disabled child. As the very smart Sarah Palin (R - Everywhere) put it recently on the ultra-professional social networking site Facebook....

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Well I for one am not just going to stand pat while Obama tries to ration health care from Trig Palin. Sarah just goes to show how classy and down-home American she is. She is like the friendliest politician (after Mike Huckabee), so you know Obama must really be doing something real bad for Sarah to make a big deal about it. And how dare Obama specifically attack little Trig by having several committees in Congress write various versions of a bill that is yet to be written or fully debated, the details of which have been explained to us by serious and dedicated journalists like Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. Thank God for these great Americans. Without them, we might not know all the facts.

And in honor of Mrs. Palin's call to action (read her post, it gives credit to Michelle Bachmann!!), me and other members of the CLF made a visit to our local congresspersons office and spoke to a very nice but not very helpful staffer. This despite our busy work schedules and various doctor visits. Michelle was even able to make a few posters for our trip! I hope to have the rush transcript of that up soon. However, I think Marvene is typing it up, and she's a real stickler for grammar and spelling, so it may take a while to get the transcript up. Possibly some audio too, but I'm not sure you can hear much over all the yelling.

Pathetic. Truly pathetic. You people call yourselves "Christian", but would find it difficult to get further from Jesus' teachings. Where are your solutions? Where is your plan? Do you find it easier to complain and call people names than to actually provide productive dialogue? Typical hypocritic propaganga from a failed group of deniers.

Michele Bachmann has only one "l" in her first name. Get your facts straight!! Especially when it comes to one of your own. Throwing around terms like Marxist and Socialist may make you feel better, but it only brings to light your "chosen stupidity" (not ignorance) regarding politics in general and Marxish & Socialism specifically.

Calling Sean Hannity & Glenn Beck "journalists" is laughable. Oh, and does sarah Palin even have health care now that she quit as governor of Alaska? Is the Republican Party becoming the party of "quitters" (Sarah Palin) and "adulterers" (McCain, Gingrich, Sanford, et. al.)?

As an old person myself, any mention of a death panel makes me mighty nervous.
On that grammar note, there were a lot more mistakes in this post than spelling Michele with two l's.
I am working on our health plan and will post it soon.

Anonymous is just spewing his typical liberal diatribe. Hating on Glenn Beck, oh how so original, Anonymous!

Sarah Palin has worked HARD and has earned the ability to afford health care. If the 600 million plus uninsured would get off they behinds and actually get a job that allows them the time to protest Medicare-for-all, then maybe they wouldn't be whining all the time!

Anonymous.. you are no match for moi!

Anonymous, I will have you know I am a good Christian and am a novice Biblical scholar. I am no slouch when it comes to Biblical quotes, and I'm pretty sure it was Jesus who said "give a man a fish, he eats for a day...teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime". I that vein, I feel this health care debate is a lot like that quote that Jesus probably said. Health care is not a right like those lefty liberals say. Health care is something you earn through hard work and faith. If you get sick, its all in Jesus' plan and probably because you didn't pray enough.

There's a lot of power to prayer, I'm surprised some of the good Republicans haven't quantified that into their detailed health care plan. Maybe MicheLe Bachmann will!?!? I will email her again and tell her to implement prayer into the cost-benefit analysis she is working on (note the capitalized L in her name...I do know how to spell, but do not have all the time in the world to spell check as I am often at work working and do not have time to play on the computer all day like the latte sipping liberals sitting on the couch eating cheetos bought with food stamps.)

I will not go through the rest of your comments, although you should know that I choose my words very carefully. Marxist and Leninist is exactly what Obama is being like, that is an established fact. Glenn Beck (note the extra N) and Sean Hannity (3 N's) are true journalists you need to stop watching the liberal media lies on MSNBC/NBC/ABC/CBS/PBS/CNN/CNN-HN/Bloomberg/CSPAN/CSPAN2/CSPAN3 and start watching real news shown on FOX!!!

But thanks Anonymous for coming and commenting. I enjoy a good debate and hope you come back and maybe tell us your name (or at least your computer alias). We appreciate a robust debate at the CLF. We truly cherish the free speech rights that our brave troops fought for so that we can inform you of Obama's plans to euthanize Trig Palin.

Reggie: The quote "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." is a Chinese proverb first coined by a Buddhist. So, I guess you are a "slouch" when it comes to biblical sayings. Why don't you go back and read Matthew 25:31-46.

Here's an excerpt: " 34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

If you want to throw around biblical quotes, go ahead. Just know your Bible. Obama a Marxist or "Leninist" (I think you mean Coummunist) is laughable. Almost as laughable as you being a Christian. Read Exodus 20: 16 (the 9th commandment): "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." As for plans to euthanize Trig Palin, you are sick just to suggest President Obama intends such a thing! Poor excuse for an educated "blogger".

"Communist", not "Coumunist". Didn't spell check.

I told you I was a NOVICE biblical scholar. Obviously, I have some work to do, but my pastor likes that quote, so I just mistakenly attributed to Jesus. See, I have humility, something you don't know much about "anonymous". (I wish you would tell us your real internet name, it would make this debate less ridiculous.)

I do not follow the liberal teachings that Jesus wanted to just help the poor and downtrodden. As Abraham Vereirde taught, God wants to show the powerful and wealthy the Way so that they may help those that are poor and downtrodden. The wealthy and powerful got that way through hard work and self-determination, and their wealth and good deeds can trickle down on the poor and weak.

Since you fancy yourself a biblical expert, I will share a few that show Jesus was more in line with the teachings of smart folks like Abraham Vereirde and Doug Coe, and not so much like the false Jesus pushed on us by the liberal media...

Wealth maketh many friends. [Proverbs 19:4]
"King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth." ~2 Chronicles 9:22
"Job owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East." ~Job 1:3
But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth - Deuteronomy 8:18

That last one shows that God gives you wealth, not the government. Obama fancies himself the messiah that will enrich the poor by distributing the wealthy's God given wealth. That is just wrong and evil :(
