Proposed CLF Health Care Plan

Lately the liberals and Socialist/Fascist/Marxists have been complaining that the good conservatives don't have a health care plan. Well that is just a bunch of hooey! We have plenty of ideas that have been promoted, such as saying NO!! to a socialist government takeover of our Medicare. The White House has gone so far as to create an enemies list of health care opponents. That is just outrageous and there was nothing like that in the Bush Administration that is for sure.

The White House has also laid out three sets of eight points on health care, which is kind of ironic that they chose 3 8's. Seems like they should have chose three sets of six points, if you get my drift. And I think you do. Anyway, we here at the CLF have modified their points to craft our own agenda, and one that I think will catch on with the hard-working folks that dominate these town meetings. Its amazing that they are able to attend all these daytime meetings, what with their job schedules and money spent by their grassroots efforts to buy ad space at a moments notice.

Anyway, here is our completely original plan, with some much-needed editing of that Socialist Leninist ObamaCare plan pushed by that Kenyan Moslim in the White House.

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, because everyone has coverage anyway, all they have to do is go to the emergency room.

1. End Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited prevented on a voluntary basis from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.

Making things voluntary is best as business works best under the unrestricted confines of a truly free market. There should be no penalties if an insurance company does not comply with this voluntary provision, but may incur harsh scolding. Discrimination still permitted for all persons suspected of being or resembling an illegal immigrant.

2. Tort Reform to Cut Costs. Also Something Called Portability. Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.

Tort Reform NOW!! Bogus lawsuits are what causing all the costs to go up, which forces these good Americans at Cigna to pass on these costs via deductibles and co-pays. These may be ended when a reasonable cap on injury or death, such as the 250k proposed by tort reformers, is put in place.

3. Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care Illegal Immigrants: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics refuse to pay for any health care to illegals. That, and lawsuits, is what is driving up costs, that is a fact!!

4. Ends dropping of Coverage ObamaCare death panels for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies Obama will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage euthanizing Grandma and Trig Palin, as well as for those who become seriously ill.

5. Ends Gender Discrimination Against Males: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more infringing on your God-given rights of dominion over family members because of your male gender.

Unmarried women and their progeny will not be covered, which will end the discrimination against men. Married women will be covered under their husbands' or fathers' policies. Homosexuals, union members, community organizers, and ACORN activists will not be eligible for health insurance.

6. Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage and Tax/Trade: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive. Cap and Tax/Trade will be eliminated, because its another socialistic boondoggle meant to enrich Gorey and his ilk. The actual effect of Cap and Tax/Trade on health care costs is uncertain and beyond the scope of this bill, but warrants mentioning anyway.

7. Extends Coverage for Young Adults in traditional, God-fearing families led by legal citizens: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26. Only children of married, working parents will be covered in order to exclude illegals, because illegals don't work and just get welfare somehow.

8. Guarantees Insurance Renewal and Patient/Doctor Relationship: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won't be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

Insurance companies cannot force policy holders to renew the policy and you can choose your doctor. Keeping some government bureaucrat out of the patient/doctor relationship is the first concern. Your doctor will be required to comply with whatever constraints your insurance company deems necessary. Doctors should continue to consult with claims adjusters to ensure that the proposed treatments or procedures are within the policy guidelines. Said guidelines will still be written solely by insurance companies under no constraint or regulation given our commitment to truly free markets. Failure to comply with said constraints supersedes the first sentence of this paragraph, which may result in your exclusion from the policy. Even if this happens, as long as we have a truly free market, competitive insurance companies will just suddenly pop up, thus insuring those that are excluded.

8 common myths FACTS about health insurance reform ObamaCare

1. Reform ObamaCare will stop start "rationing" - not increase it: It’s a myth FACT that reform ObamaCare will mean a "government takeover" of health care or lead to "rationing." To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies. Rationing doesn't happen now, that is for sure.

2. We can’t afford reform: It's the status quo we can't afford. It’s a myth FACT that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President Barak Hussain Obama has not identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can't help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.

3. Reform would encourage "euthanasia": It does not. It’s a malicious myth FACT that reform ObamaCare would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform ObamaCare will help to cover these voluntarymandatory, private televised "consultations" for those who want help with these ram-rod through a bureaucrats decision to euthanize your mawmaw over your own personal and difficult family decisions.

4. Vets' health care is safe and sound going to be destroyed by ObamaCare: It’s a myth FACT that health insurance reform ObamaCare will affect veterans' access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President's budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans. Obama is a secret Moslim who is wanting to destroy America from within so his Islamic terrorist buddies, like Bill Ayers, can defeat our sickened troops!!

5. Reform will benefit totally burden small business - not burden it: It’s a myth FACT that health insurance reform ObamaCare will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average. Obama is going to force employers to provide health insurance coverage for their employees, or at least force all the employees into a government socialized plan, or something else nefarious. McCain had some good ideas on health care, too bad he didn't win.

6. Your Medicare is not safe, and not stronger with reform: It’s myth FACT that health insurance reform ObamaCare would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare "doughnut" hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors. Obama wants to put the government control over our Medicare. Good thing our good Republicans are here to protect Medicare, seeing as how they were all for it initially and have done great things to ensure its solvency.

7. You can't keep your own insurance: It’s myth FACT that reform ObamaCare will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them. Also, death panels. DEATH PANELS!!!!

8. NoYes, government will not do anything do bad stuff with your bank account: It is an absurd myth FACT that government will be in charge of your bank accounts. Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose. Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make. Your medical records are going to be online! We, as Republicans, are VERY concerned about our privacy, as we have been, consistently and continuously, for many years.

8 There Are No Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform ObamaCare Now Ever!!

1. Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/denied_coverage/index.html

2. Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job. Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hiddencosts/index.html

3. Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html

4. Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes

5. Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline

6. The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction

7. Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people - one in every three Americans under the age of 65 - were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html

8. The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance - projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform.

Reggie, regarding your response from Aug. 8: The quote "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." is a Chinese proverb first coined by a Buddhist. So, I guess you are a "slouch" when it comes to biblical sayings. Why don't you go back and read Matthew 25:31-46.

Here's an excerpt: " 34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

If you want to throw around biblical quotes, go ahead. Just know your Bible. Obama a Marxist or "Leninist" (I think you mean Communist) is laughable. Almost as laughable as you being a Christian. Read Exodus 20: 16 (the 9th commandment): "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." As for plans to euthanize Trig Palin, you are sick just to suggest President Obama intends such a thing! Poor excuse for an educated "blogger".

Medicare is not under threat of "a socialist government takeover of our Medicare". Medicare and the VA already are government-run socialist programs. Your intention is to abolish Medicare and the VA? You're more heartless than I thought.

Bachmann2012 said...

Medicare is bankrupt and the VA.. well, Walter Reed anyone? Case Closed.

You are just copying and pasting from your last comment on my "Power to the People" post. I just destroyed your argument so no need to repeat mine. See, again I show more humility than you :)

Good one Michelle!!! That is why I picked you first to join the CLF and have made you co-president. Thanks to you and Marvene for your help in devising our health care plan. I see this "anonymous" liberal can't argue with our rock solid points, instead just diverts from the subject. I said nothing about abolishing the VA or Medicare. I just want government control out so private enterprise may enter and make things more streamlined and efficient. Obama just wants to weaken these programs and expand government control, via death panels and arcane rules that you just don't see with private insurance companies ever!!!

BTW, I did not make up that ObamaCare would result in euthanization. As the very smart Sarah Palin said...

"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."

Its right there, can't you read. Sarah Palin is smart and a good Christian. She would never support anything like "end-life consultations", which are really just death panels. Look up your facts before you call me evil, you are the one being evil.

Slouch & Schizo:
I didn't call you "evil". Medicare is not "bankrupt".
Walter Reed was found to be in disrepair during George W. Bush's reign of terror.
What private enterprise do you propose will run Medicare and the VA?
Maybe if you practiced what you preached, that is Christianity, you'd cease bearing false witness against your neighbor and do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.
Asserting the "intelligence" or "smartness" of Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann just makes your argument weaker. Besides, Sarah never graduated high school. She has not produced her diploma.
Finally, your "I know you are but what am I? ('Look up your facts before you call me evil, you are the one being evil')" argument is childish and, again, bears false witness against me.

Reggie N. said...

Ok, I am sorry, your right, you didn't call me evil. You called me sick and heartless. And a slouch and schitzo (try spell check again). That is what is wrong with you lefty, latte sipping, limosene liberals. All you do is call names, something you don't see from the right at all. That is what Bill O'Reilly says, and he is a straight down the middle independent, so you know all the name calling is coming from the liberaals.

Medicare is an example of how government just can't run anything, which is why they need to get their hands out of Medicare and privatize it. Privatization has worked everywhere its been tried. Leave it to for-profit private enterprises. They are always more efficient, even with the profit margins!! I think United Health would do a fine job running Medicare, look how successful their executives are!!!

As for George W Bush, he was just trying to prove a point how the government can't run anything well, especially health care. I think some private hospital would do fine taking over Walter Reed.

And do not attack Sarah Palin or her children anymore. Why can't you leave her and her family alone?!?! Is it because she's a woman who is happy, has a big family, and a Christian? I guess so, otherwise you wouldn't be attacking her. And yes she did finish high school, we showed you her short form diploma on this very site. But I just know that's not good enough for you, you believe what you want to believe, facts be darned. :( See, you have me upset, and made me curse.

Given this sloppy mistake on your part, you should really do your homework before spouting off on things. Being prepared for debate is something we here at the CLF take great pride in. Now can Marvene or Winston or somebody back me up here, or do I have to do everything.

Schizo,

"Schizo" has no "t" in it (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/schizophrenia).

Good point about the worst president ever. Yes, George W. Bush sure did prove his point. During the 2000 election he pointed out during the campaign that "the government doesn't work", got elected (appointed in 2000), and proved it.

Medicare runs with approximately 3% in adminstrative costs and private insurance has administrative costs upwards of 30%. Yes, very well run-for the profit of the executives getting multi-million dollar salaries and the ad agencies raking in the ad buys.

I'm beginning to think you don't believe your own rhetoric. You know Sarah Palin didn't graduate high schoool. Why fight the facts?

We showed you her birth certificate and you can ask her high school to allow you to review it. What more do you people want?!?!

Can anyone explain to me why, in the upper right corner of the CLF website, there is a picture of an etherial image of an angel urinating into the clouds? Is it indicative of how, as the caption reads, "You Keep Conservatives Using Freedom"? This is how conservatives are "using freedom"; by urinating into the clouds & subesquently the people of earth on whom it will fall as rain? Conservatives, indirectly urinating on people. Classy.

Reggie N. said...

Anonymous, I do not think your commenting on bodily fluids is appropriate for a site devoted to conservative political thought. I only see pleasant reflections on that picture so you must be using your dirty mind to imagine what you want to see.

Please, if you are going to come here and debate, keep your discussions rated PG as some young children may see what you wrote. Also, we are going to have to turn off the "anonymous" button so you will need to provide a name. I do not know if I am talking to the anonymous from this post or an anonymous from that Marsha Blackburn post a few months back. Clarify please.

The picture clearly shows the person is urinating into the clouds. One can see the arc and the splatter at the end of the arc. Just like this cartoon except instead of it being Calvin, you've replaced him with an angel or whatever: http://www.cranburycustom.com/car-toons/calvinpeeing.jpg And, the word urinate is "rated-PG". Besides, which is worse writing lies about President Obama being a Kenyan-born Muslim who wants to "encourage euthanasia" and other lies about the health care proposal or educating children (including you)about the word urinate? I pick the latter.
